How We Build Custom Cycling Shorts and Tights
Custom cycling shorts and tights are a technical product, and we treat them as one. Wears For You manufactures padded shorts, bib shorts, winter thermal tights and MTB trousers in our Sialkot factory from 30 pieces per style, in compression knits with the chamois pad matched to the ride length your customers actually do.
Two things decide whether cycling shorts get reordered: the pad and the leg gripper. A pad specified for a one-hour commute fails on a century ride, and a gripper that is too tight cuts off circulation while one that is too loose lets the leg ride up. Both are called out in your tech pack, sampled, and confirmed on a real rider before bulk production starts.

Padded Cycling Short
Waistband short with a chamois pad and silicone leg gripper, in 6 or 8 panel construction. The default road and indoor training short.
Bib Short
Shoulder-strap construction that removes waistband pressure on long rides, with a mesh or perforated upper for ventilation. The preferred cut for endurance riders.
Thermal Winter Tight
Full-length fleece-backed roubaix knit, padded or unpadded, with ankle zips and reflective detail where specified.
MTB Trouser & Short
Looser woven outer with reinforced knee and seat panels, worn over a separate liner short. Built for abrasion rather than aerodynamics.
Three-Quarter Knicker
Below-knee length for shoulder-season riding, with a wide gripper band at the calf to stop the leg riding up.
Liner Short
Unbranded or branded padded liner worn under MTB and casual shorts, in a lighter compression knit.

The Pad Is Chosen, Not Included
Chamois density and thickness are matched to ride duration. We will ask how long your customers ride before quoting, because a pad that is right for a commute is wrong for a five-hour day and vice versa.
Grippers Tested on a Rider
Silicone gripper width and elastic tension are checked on a moving rider on the sample, not judged flat on a table. It is the only way to know whether the leg rides up.
Flatlock Seams as Standard
Every seam that contacts the saddle or the inner thigh is flatlock stitched, because a raised seam in those positions becomes a problem within thirty minutes of riding.

We quote per piece, and the number moves with four things: your fabric and its weight, the decoration method and how many placements it covers, your order quantity, and the shipping terms you pick. That is why we do not publish a single figure. A written quote with the exact per-piece cost for your spec comes back within 12 hours.

Custom Cycling Shorts & Tights Manufacturing FAQs
Thirty pieces per style, split across your size range. For club and team kit that is usually enough to cover a whole roster in one order. If you need a short and a matching tight, those are two styles and two 30-piece minimums, because they are different patterns.
By ride duration, not by price. A thin, lower-density pad is right for commuting and rides under about an hour, because a thick pad becomes bulky and hot. Medium density suits two to four hour rides, and high-density multi-layer pads are for endurance and multi-day use. Tell us the typical ride your customers do and we will specify the pad rather than fitting whatever is in stock.
Bib shorts remove waistband pressure, which matters a lot past about two hours in the saddle, and they are what most serious road riders prefer. Waistband shorts are simpler, cheaper, easier to size and better for indoor training and casual riding. Plenty of brands carry both. We can sample one of each in the same run so you can compare on a real ride.
Yes. Cycling kit is almost always fully sublimated, which means each panel is printed before it is cut and sewn, so the design runs unbroken across the seams. Supply artwork at panel scale and we will send a print layout for approval before anything is cut.
Yes, and producing the jersey and short together in one run is the right way to get a true colour match across the kit, since both come from the same sublimation batch. Each garment carries its own 30-piece minimum.
Cycling tights are close-fitting compression knit, usually fleece-backed for winter road riding, and often padded. MTB trousers are a looser woven with reinforced knee and seat panels, designed for abrasion resistance and worn over a separate padded liner. They are completely different patterns and fabrics, and we make both.
Around 10 days for a physical sample, then 3 to 4 weeks for bulk after written approval. Sublimated kit with complex artwork can add a few days at print layout stage, which we flag before you commit.
